01 — Consultation · Week 0–2
Walk the site. Define the brief.
It starts with a conversation and a site walk. We look at the property the way a builder does — structure, drainage, sun, setbacks, what the zoning by-law will and will not permit — while you tell us how you actually want to live in it. No renderings, no pressure; the first meeting is about whether your ambitions and your site agree with each other.
Within days you receive a written summary: scope options, honest budget ranges for each, the approvals your project is likely to need and a realistic calendar. The consultation and that document are free. If the numbers or the chemistry are wrong, you have lost nothing but an hour — and gained a map.
